It was prophesied in the O. T. that one was to come that would bring
salvation to man. this was in Genesis, and the prophets, and in the
writings of the Scriptures.
In Galatians 4:4 we can read; 'When the fullness (completion) of time came
Elohim (our Father) sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the
law, to redeem those under the law, in order that they receive adoption as
sons' (children). This one that was to come was truly the Son of the Most
High, the one that through whom, and by whom He, our Father, created all
In Philippians 2:5-11 the Scripture says; 'Let this mind be in you which
was also in Messiah Yahshua who, being in the form of Elohim, did not
regard equality with Him (the Father) a matter to be grasped, but emptied
Himself, taking the form of a servant, and came to be in the likeness of
men. And having been found in the likeness of man, He humbled Himself and
became obedient unto death, even death on the stake. The Father therefore
has highly exalted Him, and given Him the Name, which is above every name.
That at the Name of Yahshua, every knee should bow,----- and every tongue
should confess that Yahshua Messiah is Master.'
In Romans 10: 9-10 we find this confirmed. 'If you confess with your mouth
the Master Yahshua, and believe in your heart, that Elohim has raised Him
from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart one believes unto
righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, and so is saved.'
We are told to do works of righteousness to prove our faith. If we do not
help one of our Fathers children that are in need, then we are not proving
our faith. James 2:14-18. At Yahshua return, when He comes with all
power, He will separate those that are faithful from those unfaithful,
Matthew 25: 31-46. These are the works of righteousness that we are to be
doing, serving our brothers and sisters in Yahshua, and confessing Yahshua
before those who ask us of our belief. 1 Peter 3:15
Even as a youth, Yahshua was concerned about doing the will of His Father,
Luke 2: 41-49, these verses tell of His family going to Jerusalem for the
Passover, and how He stayed behind when they were to leave, and return
home. After three days He was found listening to the teachers and asking
them questions, when asked, why?, He said ' I must be about My Father
Yahshua's life was to do the will of His Father, John 4:34,'My food is to
do the desire of Him who sent Me, and to accomplish His work'. also John
5:30, 'Of Myself I can do nothing,---- for I seek not My own desire, but
the desire of the Father who sent Me'. When asked about the works of the
Father, Yahshua told those asking, John 6:29, 'This is the work of Elohim,
that you believe in who He sent'.
Yahshua finished the work that the Father gave Him to do. John 19:28-30,
' After this, Yahshua, knowing that all had been accomplished,-----said
'I thirst'. A bowl of sour wine stood there, and they filled a sponge
with the sour wine, -- and held it to His mouth. So when He took the sour
wine He said, ' It has been accomplished'. He had finished the work he
was given to do. The word 'finished' Strongs # 3055, to complete, to
conclude, it comes from Strongs # 3056, to set out for a definite goal.
He, Yahshua had that goal from the beginning, He knew what was to be
before He ever came to earth as a man, but He was willing to do the will
of our Father.
Will we be able to say as Shual, 2 Timothy 4:7-8, I have fought a good
fight, I have finished the race, and I have kept the faith. For the
rest, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the
Master, the righteous Judge, shall give to me on that day, and to all
those that love His appearing.
