There are many stories in the Scripture to help us walk according to truth
and uprightness.
One of these is in Romans 9:20-24.
Who are you, o man,to talk back to your Creator? Shall that which is formed
say to Him who formed it, "Why have You made me like this?"
Does not the potter have authority over the clay, to from the same lump to
make one vessel for honor and another for dis-honor?
So that He might make known the riches of His favor on vessels of
compassion, which He has prepared beforehand for blessing, even on those
He has called.
Many are called but few are chosen.
Some are called,
then get involved in a "church", "organized religion", and expect that
organization to carry out the "work", when each one that is called, has a
work to do.
Some are called,
then become so involved in their "daily" lives they lose sight of the
goal, the purpose of their calling, and return to being as they were.
Some are called,
then do not accept the "Word" or interpret the "Word" to suit their own
ways, and become perverted in their understanding.
Some are called,
but are to timid, and do not or can not be used because they stop the
workings of the "Spirit", the Spirit gives us what is needed to minister
to others.
Some are called,
and go about using the "power" those that are called and chosen are given,
to minister to the needs of others, and are able to answer any question
concerning their belief 2 Peter 3:15. They do not hide their "light" under
a basket, or bury their "talent". They let their works and their lives be
a "light" a guide to others.
In Matt. 7: 13
Enter in through the narrow gate. Because the gate is wide
and the way is broad - that leads to destruction, and there are many who
enter through it. But the gate is narrow and the way hard pressed, which
leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Let your mind picture a narrow path up a steep mountain, and think of how
hard it would be to climb that path. There will be boulders in the way,
loose rock to step over, maybe even a gap in the path that will have to be
jumped. We must reach the top, our goal, a goal that is the ultimate goal for man.
The Adversary will try anything to get us to give up.
John 5:39-40
You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have life; and these are
they which testify of Me.
But you do not desire to come to Me (Yahshua), in order to have life.
John 1:11
He came to His own and His own received Him not.
John 6:44
No one is able to come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him.
And I will raise him up in the last day.
He, Yahshua, is the gate that gives us access to the narrow way. We must
believe in Him, for in Him alone is salvation.
If we have Yahshua, He will hold us up on that narrow way, giving us the
strength to walk that difficult trail that leads to life.
If we have Him, Yahshua, in our lives, then we can do the works of faith through
His Spirit in us.
Gal 4:4-6
When the completion (fulness) of time came, Elohim sent forth His Son,
born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under law,
in order to receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, Elohim has sent
forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying,"Abba, Father."
Through the "Spirit" we can do works of righteousness, walking in truth and obeying the "Word".
Abraham believed and that belief was counted for righteousness. He only had a
glimpse of what was to come. Now Yahshua has come and finished the path, the "way".
Unless we put our whole trust in Yahshua, we will not be able to stay on
that narrow path that leads to life.
But with Him holding us up and His Spirit strengthening and guiding us, we
can make it to the top, and be with Him when He comes to rule and reign.
Lets not lose sight of the goal.
