GOOD NEWS IN THE LAST DAYS
The Scripture says in 1 John 2:18 and 2 Peter 1:5 and 20, that we are in
the last days or times.
Yahshua talks of these days also in Matt. 24:.
He tells us to watch what is happening around us, by doing this we can
know that time is short.
We listen and read in the news of all kinds of trouble, ethnic wars,
religious wars, and of just people killing other people.
It seems like there is an earth quake, a flood, or some other form of
disasters, always in the news.
Recently the pope was on the news speaking of and pushing for total sunday
worship, a time of trouble for those that keep the Biblical Sabbath. We
know from the Scriptures that it is coming.
Also recently there was a satellite that went out of control, upsetting
communications for days. This satellite was one launched by China, and the
disruption could have been cause by them. It has been reported that we,
the U.S.A. did this with Russian satellites. Just think what it would be like
for them all to fail.
All these things are a sign of the times, and are being done because
people have rejected their Creator and His way. Many if not most are
going about their lives, their way, doing what is right in their own
eyes.
The "laws" in the Scriptures that bring about right living are not being
taught in our schools nor in our homes.
Eph. 5: 15-18
See that we walk exactly, not unwise but wise, redeem the time, do not be
foolish, but understand what the desire of Yahweh is ------- be filled
with the "Spirit".
1 Cor. 14:12
Be ardent (earnest desire) Spiritual gifts, gifts that build the Assembly.
We are now in this country living in a time of relative ease, even though
there are continually spots of trouble here and through out the world,
because the "law"and the "word" are not apart of the lives of most.
We are told in the Scripture, in different places to give thanks to Elohim, for
it is from Them we should go to for the directing of our paths.
2 Cor. 2:14
"Thanks to Elohim who always leads us to overcome in Yahshua Messiah, and
reveals through us every where the presence of the knowledge of Him."
Eph. 1: last part of 12 all 13
having first trusted in Yahshua, in whom you also, having heard the Word of Truth,
the "Good News" for your deliverance, in whom you also having believed, were
sealed with the "Spirit of Promise".
What is this "Spirit of Promise" we are sealed with?
Eph.1:14
"The pledge of our inheritance, until the redemption of that which is purchased"
2Cor. 1:22-23
"He who establishes us in Messiah and has anointed us in Himself, who has also
sealed us, and given us the "Spirit" in our hearts as a pledge".
The "Spirit of Promise" leads us to understanding the "Good News" where in we
are called for salvation.
1 Cor. 15:1-4 Here Paul tells us what the Good News" is.
"I make known to you the "Good News", which I brought as "Good News" to you.
Through which you are also being saved, if you hold fast that word I brought as
"Good News" to you, other wise you have believed in vain.
For I delivered to you at the first that which I also received, that Messiah died for
our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised
up the third day, according to the Sciptures".
This is the message of the "Good News".
We must believe this message of the "Good News", for this is the only way of salvation.
2 Thess. 2:13-15
"We ought to give thanks to Elohim always,,-- beloved by the Master, because He from
the beginning chose uo to be saved, separated in the Spirit, to believe the truth---
unto which He called us by the "Good News", for obtaining the "blessing" of our Master
Yahshua Messiah, so let us stand fast and hold the teaching which we were taught,
whether by "word" or by "Letter"", ( or now also by the Spirit, 1 John 2:27)
Being worthy
Phil. 1:27
Behave ourselves,be worthy of the "Good News" of Messiah, in order -- that we stand
fast in one "Spirit", with one "mind", striving together for the belief of the "Good News".
2Thess. 2:16-17
If we do this, "Our Master Yahshua Messiah Himself and our Father, who have loved
us and gives us encouragements and great expectation (hope) through Their favor.
Shall encourage our hearts and establish us in every good word and work".
